Small fixes, big comfort
Fix slipping and pinching at home
Most everyday fit issues — an uneven frame, sliding down the nose, arms too tight — take just a gentle bend or two. Here’s how to do it safely.
The fixes
Four common adjustments
Uneven fit (one lens closer)
Gently bend the temple arm on the close side inward, or the other arm slightly outward, until the frame sits level.
Frames with nose pads
Sliding down? Push the pads gently inward to raise the frame. Pinching? Ease them outward for more room.
Plastic / flexible frames
Warm the arms slightly with warm (not hot) air, then bend gently behind the ears to stop slipping.
Arms too tight or loose
Tiny inward bends grip more; tiny outward bends relieve pressure. Adjust a little at a time and re-check.
Fit still off?
If gentle bends don’t fix it, the frame size may be wrong for your child’s face.
