How to Adjust Your Eyebuddykids Glasses at Home
We understand that sometimes your child's glasses may slip, feel uneven, or fit a bit too tightly. Here’s a safe and easy guide to help you make small adjustments at home to improve comfort and fit.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. One Lens Sits Closer to the Face (Uneven Fit)
If the right lens appears closer to the face:
• Gently bend the right temple arm inward,
• Or bend the left arm slightly outward to balance the frame.
2. Frames with Nose Pads
• If the glasses sit too low or slide down, gently push the nose pads inward to raise the frame.
• If the glasses pinch the nose, carefully pull the nose pads outward to create more space.
3. Frames Without Nose Pads (Plastic or Flexible Frames)
• Submerge the ends of the temple arms in warm water (not hot) for 30–60 seconds to soften the material.
• Once warm, gently bend the temple tips:
• Inward for a snugger fit
• Outward for a looser feel
• Avoid over-bending or twisting. Make slow, careful adjustments.
4. One Lens Higher Than the Other
• First, soften the temples using warm water as in Step 3.
• Then gently adjust the opposite temple arm:
• If the right lens is too high, bend the left temple arm downward.
• If the left lens is too high, bend the right temple arm downward.
5. Frame Material Matters
• Some materials (like titanium, memory plastic, or aluminum alloy) are not suitable for home adjustment.
• Always check the frame details before attempting changes.
• When in doubt, contact Eyebuddykids support first.
6. Final Check & Cleaning
• After adjusting, clean the lenses using a soft microfiber cloth.
• Have your child wear the glasses for a few hours to test the fit.
• If discomfort persists, please visit an optician or contact our team.
⚠️ Safety Reminders
• Do not use hot water, hair dryers, or microwaves to heat the frames.
• Always make small, gradual adjustments.
• If unsure, seek professional assistance.
